I’m typing this out on the way to the train, mic in one hand, thrilled to re-enter your thoughts and soon your earbuds. Reminder: I’m not just a motha, and I’m definitely not just a podcaster. I’m a multi-hat-wearing Brooklynite choosing to refresh this space with fluid consistency over rigid schedules.
Where I’ve Been
Work & Workouts
With three kids + two jobs + A MILLION IDEAS + undiagnosed ADHD/OCD, three minimum weekly barbell sessions have been an integral prescription to thriving this winter. Obviously alone time is going to be hard for moms like me to plan for, even before the divorce and postpartum depression has always hit me hard. So when I relearned that strength training is a clinically backed mood booster, and crucial during the darker months, I started to take it even more seriously. It has been my saving grace as winter drains my batteries (hello, S.A.D.). Rather than force mediocre episodes, I chose progressive overload in the gym and rest at home.
Result: clearer headspace for this summer-fall creative bloom. Because let’s be honest, this is truly my season!!
Creative Re-Charge: The Artist’s Way
I’m also inching through Week 3 of Julia Cameron’s classic. One chapter of reading and taking notes, then a full week of Morning Pages. The method is famed for unblocking artists, from indie writers to Billboard acts like the amazing Doechii. Slow and steady, because parenting + double-shift life turns twelve weeks into a marathon but I’m here for it. I am a multi dimensional creative with a literal multidisciplinary degree in math and art history! They say you can be left or right brained, well baby I do both, but I want to do it at a higher level and also pour into my creative side more intentionally I have endless projects I’ve started and not completed. If you didn’t already know, I enjoy playing around in AI. I literally have a list of art and tech ideas that is years old. I always felt like I would never be able to complete it because I did not have all of the knowledge but now with the help of AI I can actually bring many of them to life!

I have been all fitness and no fashion so I m ready to get back on my zoom this season! Lifestyle creator Iesha Gilchrist reminds me, Ahht Ahht, that humor + authenticity + a fire ‘fit can elevate everyday motherhood and my mood. Expect to see me trying out some styles
